Industrial accidents can mean lots of different things, including fires, contamination, technical failure and nuclear accidents. Because of this, impacts can vary considerably in scale and nature. In most cases they will not have much impact beyond the immediate vicinity and can be dealt with locally, although it is possible for there to be more significant consequences.
All industrial sites are subject to regulations keeping them operating safely. It’s important to be aware of the sites in your area and if there is an incident, follow advice from the emergency services.
