Butleigh had a major property fire and the Parish emergency volunteers turned out to assist the emergency services in directing traffic and providing local information.

The emergency response teams were made aware of the surrounding community, especially of the vulnerable members of the community who might need more assistance.

Unfortunately, the property was badly damaged but, luckily, due to the level of local knowledge supplied to the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, the disruption to the rest of the community was minimised.
